How did you attract your audience?

In my Final product I aimed to attract my target audience in many specific ways. These included my choice of character, SFX, camera angles and shots and aspects.

This close up attracts my audience by building a relationship between my audience and my main protagonist. This personal shot conveys that this character is of importance and should relate to my target audience. He is also of a youthful appearance, this correlates with my target audience who are between 15-25. This shows I have intentionally chosen this shot to build an audience and character relationship by encouraging my audience to identify with this character.

The camera shot reveals that my setting of my opening sequence is in an urban populated setting. This relates to my target audience because my opening sequence is targeted at people living in London. This is also a densely populated. This reveals that I have purposely chosen this setting because it relates to my audience and they can relate to it. I intentionally didnt pick a rural area because my audience inhabit an urban area and my product is aimed at urban teenagers 15-25.

My character is dressed in a hoodie, jeans and a pair of trainers. This attire is common in my age group of my audience and many denizens in London. This shows that I have intended to pick my characters outfit because I wish to strengthen a bond between my audience and my main protagonist. Due to his youthful appearance and his urban attire he will be easily relatable with my audience.

The use of special effects in my product is evident when my main character teleports, he warps into thin air leaving a trail of smoke behind him. Due to the fact that I believe my target audience would have a slight knowledge of conventions of an Action/Science Fiction film this would attract them.

The use of enigma throughout the whole of my product would attract my audience because it will cause them to ask questions about what happened in my opening sequence. These questions will lead them to want to know what happened and thus cause them to watch to the end of the product and not lose interest.
