Wilsons Bird Of Paradise

This is the male Wilsons Bird Of Paradise.

This is the female Wilsons Bird of Paradise.

The way that you can tell the male from the female is because the male has more coloring and the plume (a long soft feather) on the tail at the end and the female has a straight tale. The only color the female has is a little bit of light blue on the head and her body is brown. The Wilsons Bird Of Paradise is found in the West Papuan islands of Waigeo and Batanta, off the coast of northern West Papua, Indonesia. An inherited trait to the male is the mate dance and the color of the body. An inherited behavior is that when theyre dancing the back feather comes up.
