Learning Standard: There is a genetic basis for how characteristics are passed from generation to generation.
Learning Goal: Recognize and describe when asexual reproduction occurs the same genetic information from the parent cell is
copied and passed on to the new daughter cell (mitosis) and in sexual reproduction similar genetic material is passed from the
parent cell to the new daughter cell (meiosis).
