My final internship consists of two main sections: Teaching half time and a Professional Inquiry Project. The question I have created for my Professional Inquiry Project is: !
To what extent does the Daily Five framework for Language Arts instruction impact student engagement and competency in literacy?

a part of my professional growth as a pre-service teacher, for the past two years I have been developing an online portfolio to showcase my teaching experience. I am hoping that my online portfolio will serve as a tool to demonstrate my teaching competencies when I seek a teaching position upon my graduation from the University of Lethbridge.

Five framework and have taught using this method. I am now beginning to decide how I will present what I have learned for my final product. My hope is to gather photos of students working through the Daily Five elements and potentially interview a few children to ask what they like about the Daily Five as a way to demonstrate student engagement in a video format. With your permission, I would like to showcase these photos and a potential video on my online portfolio to demonstrate my growth as a teacher.
