Theodore Vick Elementary School RtI Placement Dear Parent:

This year at Theodore Vick Elementary school we began an intervention program called (RtI) Response to Intervention for English Language Arts. This TIERED program is designed to ensure that your child receives a sound educational program designed using researched based curriculum and ongoing progress monitoring to successfully meet the grade level learning expectations and state standards. In Tier I, your childs classroom teacher is providing targeted instruction curriculum in both whole group and small group settings. In Tier II, we provide multi-level interventions aligned with individual student need. Your child began Tier II interventions with __________________, on __________________. Within Tier II, we will provide an additional 45 minutes of focused instruction five times a week for approximately six to eight weeks. We will monitor your childs progress and will notify parents of any change in the intervention plan in response to progress.
