For each principle of design and element of art, write out an example of how you will be using them for your art project and explain why. Principle of Design
I will use color to emphasis the people. The people will be wearing red, which will help them pop our more since it is such a bold color.

I will be using asymmetrical balance. The reason for this is to give the authentic feel of nature, since nature is not structured neatly.

For the trees leaves, I will be using flowing rhythm. By using flowing rhythm it will give the leaves the feeling that they are softly blowing in the wind.

Emphasis

I will be drawing different heights and sizes of people. By making them all different proportions, it will help distinguish between adults and children.

Each person will have a different shirt pattern. By using different shirt patterns on each person it will help distinguish them even more.

Variety Unity
A variety of different looking people will be used. This will create interest and help distinguish the people even better.

Repetition

To create unity, the proximity of the people will be either close or far. In doing so, it will help distinguish which groups of people are hiking together and which ones are not.

The repetition of line will help unify my project. By using different thicknesses of lines both on the trees and people it will help unit but also distinguish them while repeatedly using line.

Elements of Art

Different shapes will make up my project. For example, circles will make up the shape of the peoples heads.

I will be using different thicknesses of line on my tree leafs to give it variety and texture.

I will only be using the primary colors (red, blue, and yellow). By doing so, it will challenge me to use the colors in creative ways.

I will place the people close and the trees farther away to create space. This will give the feeling that the people are walking in front of the trees.

In my trees, I will show the textures of the tree trunks. By showing the textures it will give each tree a distinct look.
