DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE DISCIPLINE STUDENTS TO SCHOOLS RULES IN STATE JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL 1 OF PURI WITH JUNIOR HIGH

SCHOOL OF ISLAM BRAWIJAYA MOJOKERTO. Ratih Priatin Dwi Jayanti ABSTRACT The aim of education which is attached in Law No. 20, in 2003 that education is not only in academic, but also on the character is good . The attitude discipline is considered important in public life, because nationhood and statehood there were the regulations that must be kept by each element of the community. As concrete action school institutions that formal has a big responsibility in achieving the education in Indonesia . People often compare between schools and private schools. Junior High School 1 of Puri is state schools while junior high school of Islam Brawijaya is a private schools. In this research formulated as a problem or how implementation regulation two schools and are there any differences discipline students about the rules in the school. The aim is to know implementation of rules in the State Junior High School 1 of PURI and Junior high school students Islam Brawijaya and to know the difference between the discipline students in both schools. The methods used in research with the approach quantitative research. To answer formulation of problems that first uses the design study descriptive quantitative, to answer the second formulation of the problem using a comparative study design. Location of the study are in 2 different schools in State Junior High School 1 of PURI and Junior high school students Islam Brawijaya Mojokerto. With a sample of 64 eighth grade students in both schools. Data collection techniques such as questionnaires and observations. Based on field data and the results of data analysis, found that the two schools have implemented the rules well and most of the students have to obey the rules. Differences discipline of students of the results of the study there was no difference in both school discipline students with a value thitung is 1.872, while the value of ttabel is 1.657. With = 0.05 It can be concluded that there is no difference in the student discipline rules in SMP 1 and SMP Islam Brawijaya Puri or Ho accepted and Ha is rejected. Which means between public schools and private schools do not have differences so that the difference of the student discipline school rules.
