RESISTOR

By: Mastura bt Mohamad

LEARNING OUTCOME
At the end of the lesson, students should be able to:
1. Determine the equivalent resistance for several

resistors connected in series or parallel.

2.

Analyze the circuit with multiple resistors in combination of series and parallel.

RESISTOR
What is resistor?
Resistors are used to control the amount of current. Carbon-composition resistor consists of a small ceramic (clay) tube covered partially by a conducting carbon film. A wire-wound resistor consists of a coil of wire made of Nichrome wound on a ceramic core. Symbol for resistor is: The measurement unit: Ohms ()
