Pitch.

The Art of Watching TV.
Jay Burgoyne
Theme.
The Story.
My film will aim to be 5 minutes long.
The film will have two halves, the first
half concentrates on the act of
watching TV, The second half will
explore the idea that people use
television to validate themselves and
their actions. I will look at televisions
role in modern culture, and how it
affects peoples lives.

Visual style.
For the style of my piece I want my shots to be well
composed and tightly framed in the first half of the film,
the second half will focus more on movement and
fluidity.
Use of archive footage of old television shows to make
up one sequence.
I will be using some complicated lighting techniques to
achieve the television effect and the ethereal lighting
behind the character watching the television.
Again for the second half of the piece I will be loosening
the rigidity of the lighting and using mostly natural light.
Sound
The sound will always contrast the
image, this helps to remind the
audience they are watching a film.
