ADITYA SOODS 2013-2014 Reflections

1. What is something we did this year that you think you will remember for the
rest of your life? I will remember how much I liked sports cards when I was
in 5
th
-6
th
grade.

2. What is something you accomplished this year that you are proud of?
This year I am proud of getting my first gold medal in tae kwon do. The
tournament I got the gold medal was called the U.S. OPEN. In that
tournament, people from all over the world came to compete.

3. What was the nicest thing someone in our class did for you this year?
The nicest thing was giving me a pencil when I forgot to take one.
4. What was the most challenging part of this year for you?
The most challenging part of the year was the Iowa test.
(The questions werent hard but I was under pressure to get into summa).
5. Where is your favorite place in our classroom (or school)? Why?
My favorite place is on the turf and cement outside because I play basketball
and football on the cement. I play football and monkey in the middle on the
turf.
6. If you could change one thing that happened this year, what would it be?
The thing I would change would be the outcome of the OBOB competition by
reading more books.
7. What are three things you did this year to help your classmates?
1: I read books for OBOB to help my team.
2: I gave my friend Sankalp a pencil because he wanted one for an
assignment (maniac McGee).
3: When I was playing monkey in the middle, the monkey was tired so I
gave up the ball and went in to the middle.
8. What are the three most important things you learned this year?
Number 1: I learned Algebra. (Inequalities, graphing points, and coordinate
planes.)
Number 2: I learned how to become a better speaker by using the feedback
Mr. Tangeman and Miss Mitchell gave me.
Number 3: I learned how to become fast swimmer by using the feedback
my instructor gave me.

9. What is something that was hard for you at the start of the year, but is easy
now? In the beginning of ICT I was really slow in typing and it was difficult.
Now I can type really easily and fast.

10. In what area do you feel you made your biggest improvements?
I improved a lot in math, reading, and vocal speaking.

11. What is your favorite part of the day in our class? Why?
My favorite part is recess and gym. It is recess and gym because we get to
have free play.

12. What is something you taught your teacher or classmates this year?
In math class, I taught my class about logarithms. We made work sheets for
the class to work on.

13. Of the books you read this year, which was your favorite? Why?
My favorite book was Percy Jackson. I liked Percy Jackson because the
author, Rick Riordan put a lot of juicy details in to it so it helped me
understand the picture more.

14. What was the best piece of writing that you did this year? Why do you
think it is your best? My best piece of writing was my Choose Your Own
Adventure story. It was the best because I liked the pictures I illustrated.

15. What person at our school has made the biggest impact in your life
this year? Why? Miss Cantlon because if she had not found this school, I
would be at another school.

16. What is something the teacher could have done to make this year
better? The teachers could have given us some more free time.

18. Knowing what you know now, if you could write a letter to yourself
that would travel back in time so that you would receive it at the start of the
school year, what advice would you give your younger self? I would tell
myself to be awesome.

19. When you consider the rest of your life, what percentage of what you
learned this year do you think will be useful to you? Explain. I think about
99% of the things I learned will be useful because I cant recall any thing
that wont be useful.

20. What advice would you give students who will be in this class next
year? I would give the kids a heads up on how many speeches they will
have to do.
