Hi my name is Justin Kant and this is my engineering portfolio. My current
occupation is being a student, (sophomore) of Verona Area High School, (age:16).
My technical interests are: aerospace, chemical, computer, civil, and mechanical engineering. But out of these five, my most focused upon branches of engineering are both aerospace and civil nuclear engineering. Although I wish to combine the skill sets into one, particularly pertaining nuclear fusion and fission.
The world of engineering is a place I could explore for an eternity. Out of everyone, Wernher Von Braun and Nikola Tesla are my most admired and respected engineers I aspire to be. I respect them to such a high degree simply because of the effect theyve had on the world of engineering, and the world itself.
My technical skills are very limited at the moment. In the previous year I took a class on CAD and am now currently in a IED class. Although I have more hands on skills than one might assume, from the age of eight Ive tampered and experimented with the popular kids toy Knex, and have created many variations ranging from slingshots to simple machines used in Rube Goldberg projects. But when it comes to designing and developing using constraints and design programs I fall short quite a bit.
My future aspirations are to become either an engineer, (aerospace or nuclear (fusion), or to become a physicist, (theoretical or astronomy). But there is a possibility of combining 1 or all of these careers choices into one, but only time will tell.
