One of most popular and most celebrated eco-days globally, the World Environment Day (WED)
has become a platform for environmental awareness for IFIM, one of the main vehicles through which
the UN stimulates worldwide awareness of the environment and encourages political attention and
action. This is also a day for people from all walks of life to come together to ensure a cleaner, greener
and brighter outlook for themselves and future generations.
This year we at IFIM celebrated World Environment Day on the auspicious day of 18
th

convocation. Initiated by IFIM MRC, Hostel warden Mr. Raju Poojari, along with college president, Mr.
Nikhil Ramachandran, presided over the function. Team had planted saplings at different places at the
hostel premises. Mr. Raju poojari urged the students to maintain the campus plastic free and to create a
pollution free environment to maintain the quality of life.
