sustainable future. This essay delves into the significance of World
Environment Day and highlights the urgent need for collective efforts to address
environmental issues.
World Environment Day, established by the United Nations in 1972, seeks to
foster global environmental awareness and encourage positive action. Each
year, the day is centered around a specific theme that highlights an urgent
environmental concern.
The theme of world environment day 2023 is “solution to plastic pollution.” It
is hosted by Ivory Coast/ Côte d'Ivoire in partnership with the Netherlands. The
theme will focus on solution to plastic pollution under the campaign
#BeatPlasticPollution.
