One of the most exciting
events at camp is receiving
mail! Each parent is asked
to write a letter to his/her
child and place it in a
sealed envelope. Please send
this letter to school before
camp day. I will deliver the
letter during camp.

Also, you are welcome
to send a care package.
Students LOVE LOVE
LOVE receiving these
special little packages.
These packages can include
anything for example
games, snacks, disposable
camera. Just put the items
in a box and label it with
your childs name.



Camp Day

On Friday June 20th,
second grade will be
transformed into Camp
Second Grade. We will
be setting up a tent and
even have a special
camp fire to sit around.
We will incorporate the
remainder of our
reading, writing, math,
and science skills in our
day





Yummy Food
We will be having
special camp snacks on
the day. They could
include mini
hamburgers, smores,
chex mix etc.

Grade 2 Graduation!!


Tuesday June 17
Board Games
Bring on the competition!
Students will be bringing in
board games to play with their
classmates. I encourage
strategic games, such as
checkers, chess, scrabble as
they have a lot of educational
value. Other games are also
welcome!




Wednesday June 18 and
Thursday June 19
Student/Teacher switch
Each student will be conducting a short
lesson to teach their classmates. This could
be a math, science, art, etc. lesson. The
students will be split up into two days.
Students whose name starts with A-Ma will
be presenting on Tuesday
Students whose name starts with Mi Z will
be presenting on Wednesday.

Students are requested to plan ahead of time,
so they can collect the necessary supplies for
the lesson

Monday June 23 Field
Trip to Fort Langly
We will be going to Fort Langly to
learn about how the pioneers lived.
Please come to school prepared with a
bagged lunch (something not heavy
and easily disposable) and appropriate
clothing attire for the weather that
day.



Tuesday June 25
This day will be our classroom clean-up
day. Students will be taking their supplies
home on this day.
We will also have a class show and tell day,
where every student can bring something
special to show the class.
