Curriculum Plan

Topic/Title of Lesson: Telling Time Focused Domain: Cognitive
Age Group: Kindergarten

Goal: Teach the children to tell time.

Objective: Children will learn to tell time on a clock.

Procedure: Introduce to the children the significant of each number on the
clock. Ask the children to match 1 with the correct minutes. Continue with
each child with the rest of the numbers.

Advanced Preparation: On construction paper draw and cut out the clock. In
circles write the number 1 12 and glue them to the clock and numbers 5 -60.
on a manila folder on the left side glue the clock and on the right side put the
number 5 60 put Velcro so that the numbers can be re-used. On the
outside of the numbers 1 12 put Velcro so that the children can match the
numbers to minutes.

List Materials: - Construction paper, markers, Velcro, manila folder, glue

Developmental Benefits: Social, physical (fine motors), language, emotional

Future Plans: Have the children put the hour and minute on the clock.
