Welcome!
My name is Stephen Schwarz, and I am from Kerrville, Texas. I graduated from Texas A&M
University in College Station. This will be my second year at John Folks Middle School, and I
am truly looking forward to it. This year I will be teaching 6
th
grade English Language
Arts/Reading at Folks Middle School, and I will also be coaching 8
th
grade football, basketball,
and track.
Classroom Expectations
My classroom expectations are fairly simple. At Folks Middle School we are striving to build a
strong community. I will support that mission by implementing 3 basic rules. They are:
1. Be respectful to everyone, including yourself.
2. Be responsible.
3. Do the right thing.
I know if students can work to follow these rules we will have a successful year. I believe in
these rules, and I will follow them just as I expect students to do.
Grading Policies
Students grades will consist of daily grades and test grades. Each type of grade will be weighted
equally:
Daily 40%
Major 60%
