Standards Addressed: MCC2.MD.10 Draw a picture graph and a bar graph (with single-unit scale)
to represent a graph (with single-unit scale) to represent a data set with up to four categories. Solve
simple put-together, take-apart, and compare problems using information presented in a bar graph.

Description of how to implement in the class: Teacher will lead a discussion of how to use Graph
Club, modeling features. Student will be asked to go home over the weekend, survey 20 people, and
make a graph of Graph Club. They will then be asked to write two sentences describing their graph.
Level of Technology Implementation (LoTi): The LoTi level that describes this lesson plan is
Integration. The activity is student-directed, as they get to choose how they display their information
in the graph the teacher is a guide, but not a co-learner because they likely already know the
concepts of information at this grade level. Students can generate their own questions what they
want to survey participants on. They are creating graphs, so this activity is in the higher level of
Blooms Taxonomy.

students will be able to see how to create a graph using Graph Club 2.0. They will be led in a
discussion of how to compare data on graphs,
