Team Montgomery, September 2014

As August ends and take the hot weather with it I want to take a minute and thank
everyone for their efforts for the summer and August promotions and sales. August ended
our Veterans campaign and as we fell short of our $15,000 goal we did raise over
$14,000 to support the campaign. Great job by everyone! And a special thanks to Allan
who volunteered his time after work and raised over $10,000 for the 50/50. Awesome job
Alan!
September brings us brings us new challenges. End of the vacation season, cooler weather
and as we know back to school. We have weathered the opening of Hannafords, bringing
a negative trend of almost 20% down to single digits over the last month, great job by all
with the discipline and commitment to the plan. Now we have our end of our fiscal year
one month away lets finish strong and show Hannafords we are the customers real
shopping choice in Montgomery!.
And finally just a reminder, Alan Moore is retiring and September will be his last
month working for ShopRite after 40 years of service! We want to thank Alan for all his
contributions to the team, store and organization. There are very few department who after
40 years still love what they do much as Allan, enjoy the last few weeks Alan you deserve
it!
