Abstract Title: A hair removal device adapter
(57) A hair removal device adapter 15 comprising a handle
portion 12 and a cradle 40 for receiving a hair removal
device, such as an epilator 14 or a razor, is disclosed.
The cradle is mounted to the handle portion by a pivot
means, preferably a screw pivot (30, 32 figure 4). A
ratchet mechanism, comprising a ring (24, figure 2)
having resilient teeth and a projection (28) for engaging
a space disposed between pairs of adjacent teeth, may
be provided for holding the cradle in one of a plurality
of predetermined positions. The handle portion is
preferably an elongate member terminating at one end
in a pair of curved arms 16, provided substantially in a
U-shape. The cradle may be a shallow tray, to which a
hair removal device may be secured by means of at
least one resilient strap (44, figure 6). Also disclosed
are a hair removal device comprising a hair removal
device head pivotally mounted to a handle portion, and
a hair removal device adapter system comprising a hair
removal device pivotally mounted to a distal end of a
handle portion.
