Moses' life:
40 years in Egypt
40 years in Midian
40 years leading the children of Israel throughout the wilderness

I. By faith Moses faced Pharaoh and walked away (Hebrews 11:27).
A. Moses first departure from Egypt was in fear Ex. 2:11-15.
B. Moses second departure from Egypt was in faith Ex. 10:24-29.
1. His faith was excited and increased at the burning bush Ex 3:2-6.
2. His faith was exercised in the throne-room of Pharaoh Ex. 5-10. The
wrath of the king grew with each plague.
By faith he came into Pharaoh's presence and by faith he left Pharaoh's
presence...and Egypt.
C. Today living faith sees Him who is invisible.
o chart the course of your life by His Word
o obey His commands
o make choices based on eternal realities
o go against the flow of society
Living by faith means living our lives based on realities we cannot see.

II. By faith Moses led them to keep the Passover (Hebrews 11:28).
A. Exodus 12 details Moses instructions for this yearly celebration.
Some elements prefigure the coming Messiah.
B. he & them lessons on individual obedience:
1. Moses personally obeyed the instructions for the Passover.
2. The people had to individually express their faith according to Moses
words.
Is the Christian faith a personal thing or a public thing? (Matthew 10:32-33)

III. By faith Moses led them through the Red Sea (Hebrews 11:29)
A. God led Israel to the Red Sea for the purpose of displaying His power over Egypt
Ex 14.
Through this final victory over Pharaoh and his army, the faith of the nation
was strengthened.
B. It took faith to go through the Red Sea (Ps 78:13;106:9).
This was a faith-building exercise designed by God (Ex:14:31).

God is interested in growing our faith.
There are purposeful and unplanned ways of growing faith.
