Visuals supporting classroom learning


Visuals are an important part of creating a supportive learning environment. They
support educational outcomes and learning. If however there are too many visuals, the
environment they may become distracting or ignored any educational advantage will be
lost.
It is important that:
prime space is given to visuals that are used daily across all learning
visuals are placed where students can see them
they large enough to read clearly from all seats
part of the room does not have any visual information
visuals are relevant to the current curriculumtopic
age appropriate fonts are used eg. foundation
visuals are referred to, serving functional educational purposes
students current !uality wor" is displayed and changed regularly
visuals are rearranged from time to time as it can ma"e them more noticeable
