Andrew Prokos
Andrew Prokos was born 1971 in Chicago, Illinois. His family then moved to
Florida where later on he attended the University of Florida. When he graduated he got his
degree in Political Science. At the age of 20 he moved to New York City and started taking
photographs. In 1996 he decided to work in advertising which he then turned to photography as
something he wanted to do for a long time. Some of the his clients were architects, property
developers, interior designers, ad agencies, and corporate clients.
Andrew photographs started being published in magazines, newspapers, and websites.
His photographs has also been used in advertising companies. He traveled to Brazil in 2012 and
2013 and won a lot of award-winning series of photographs. One of his award-winning series
were photographs of Niemeyer's Brasilia. The Niemeyers Basilia series attracts the dreamlike
Modernist architecture. This series was then published in the main newspaper of Brasilia. These
photographs were spread worldwide and were published in twelve different countries. He was
the twenty third important Greek-Americans to be in a documentary video series entitled Greeks
Gone West which was shot in his exhibition.
He still takes photographs and has won a lot of awards for them. Andrews style of
photographs are panoramic photography of cityscapes and landscapes. He has always keep his

photographs styles like this. He has been a photographer since he was 20. Andrew life is full of
awards and fame.
I enjoy looking at his photographs. They are interesting and they have a very unique style
to them. One photographs I that I found was interesting is the Congresso Nacional, Brasilia at
Dusk I. I like how this picture can catch peoples attention. To buy one of these photographs you
have to class and tell them what size and then they will tell you how much it is.
Andrew life seems every exciting. Imagine getting awards for photographs that you take.
His career has changed his life and it seems like he enjoys what his career has brought him to. I
like the type of photographs he takes. I like the different perspectives of his pictures and I like
how there very unique.
