The class has started a school and home project where students will research and report on explorers. Students will work independently or with partners to research their chosen explorer and complete a written report, visual supports like maps and pictures, and a presentation either recorded or live in front of the class. They are encouraged to be creative in how they present their project as long as the written report is completed.

stages of a school and home project. Your child __________________________ is Working independently Working with a partner ___________________ The explorer your child chose is__________________________ Students will have time to work collaboratively with other students and myself in the classroom on the research portion of this project. They will be required to do some of the completion of the project at home.
There are several parts to this project.
1. Written report (guided worksheets are provided) 2. Visual supports (maps, pictures, posters) 3. Presentation (video recording or in front of class) They are encouraged to be creative in their presentation of the project. As long as the written portion is complete they may present in any of the following ways. 1. Traditional written report in a folder or binder 2. Write and perform a two person play 3. Write and perform a puppet show 4. Write and record a green screen news cast 5. Create a rap or song 6. Make a box diorama 7. Large Poster 8. Brochure 9. Powerpoint
