Learning Objectives
Math: The students continue to grow as multiplication

mathematicians. As the students get more confident with

strategies we hope to see their speed increase. This week
we will focus on the relationship between facts, namely 2s
and 4s, 5s and 10s.

Social Studies: We had a great time researching

American landmarks and symbols and culminated our unit
with the Veterans Day Program last Friday. Thank you for
all that attended. This week we are focusing on the
essential question, What is the job of an Archaeologist?
We will train as archaeologists and then go on an actual dig
on Thursday!

Reading/English Language Arts: For the next two

weeks we will be practicing the skills of: REREADING,
COMPARE AND CONTRAST, USING SENTENCE CLUES,
and reading EXPOSITORY TEXT. We will be reading a lot
about plant and animal habitats and researching animals of
our choice. We will continue learning about verbs, and
practice writing how-to pieces as well as expository text.

Science: Our plants are growing!! We will continue to

watch and measure our plants as they grow. We are
learning a lot about what plants need to be healthy.
