Steps

Set Induction

1. Teacher recalls the previous lesson on reading.


2. Teacher puts up the picture of a whale on the board.
3. Pupils label parts of the body of a whale.

Pre- Writing

1. Teacher puts up the picture of a whale on the board.


2. Pupils label parts of the body of the whale.
3. Teacher introduces 3 sentences about the whale.

While-Writing

1. Teacher gives a worksheet on another sea creature (e.g. shark) and gets
the pupils to label it correctly.
2. Pupils name the parts of the sea creature (e.g. shark) correctly.
3. Teacher then tells pupils to construct a sentence base on the sea
creature (e.g. shark).
4. Teacher checks pupils sentences.

Post-Writing

1. Teacher divides the class into groups.


2. Teacher asks pupils construct three simple sentences base on other sea
creature.
3. Pupils construct three simple sentences in groups.
4. Teacher calls group leaders to read aloud their sentences aloud.
5. Teacher checks pupils sentences.
