Steps :
Set induction :
Teacher shows a picture of a zoo and asks the pupils to name the place.

Pre-listening:
1. Teacher plays the sounds of the animals and gets the pupils to listen to it.
2. Teacher asks the pupils to guess the animals based from the sounds.
3. Teacher introduces the keywords to the pupils.

Teacher plays a sound clip of a jazz chant entitled The Zookeeper.


Pupils clap and listen to the jazz chant.
Teacher displays the wordings of the jazz chant.
Teacher acts as a zoo keeper and recites the jazz chant.
Pupils repeat after the teacher.
Teacher asks the pupils to make the sound of the animals when they hear the
names of the animals.
6. One pupil takes the role as a zoo keeper and the rest of the pupils recite the jazz
chant together.

Post listening :
Teacher asks the pupils to name the animals in jazz chant.

the correct animals and sounds.

b) The pupils need to rearrange the words to form a correct sentence.
c) Teacher checks pupils sentences.

d) Teacher asks which group has the first sentence and pastes it on the board. Same
goes with the other groups.

Post-writing
a) Teacher asks pupils to read aloud the sentences on the board.
b) Pupils copy the sentences in their exercise books.

4.Each group will paste the word cards on the correct column on the board. Next they
will imitate the movement in front of the class.
5.Teacher distributes the worksheet to the pupils to complete within the time allocation.
