Ethnography First Observations

There is a line forming by students to free things from the Student Union.

The Student Union is giving away cups, bags, and chairs.

The other students who are not waiting in line are either studying on their laptop or just
socializing with their friends.

People on the upper floors seem to be waiting on other people and theyre looking down
at the line.

The population of the Union right now seem to have more minorities like African
American, Asian, and Hispanic.

A lot of the students in the Union are on their phones hanging around.

There are people going out of the Crown Commons cafeteria.

There is an African American female walking up to the third floor where my other
classmate is making his observation.

Two students wearing suits are walking down the stairs after getting food from the
cafeteria.

I noticed that we both observed similar occurrences. I think you couldve written more
than you did, in that long of a time span. You could also try to be more specific about the
things you noticed. Maybe you can try to infer something from your observations. For

instance, why do you think there are more minorities in the Student Union? You did a good
job with pointing out certain behaviors of people and groups of people.
