Goal:
To encourage social interaction and language development and to use
their creativity and imagination.
Objective:
Children will work together to create their own pet puppets.
Transition Plan
During circle time teacher will ask questions about who has pets at home.
They will discuss about their pets and how special that they are to them
Procedure
Teacher will have materials prep. The children will use the popsicle sticks
and construction paper. (the teacher will cut the shape of the child pet
face out) the child will glue them onto the stick. They will decorate their
pet any way that they want to. They will share their pet puppets with the
class
Advanced Preparation:
All material listed will be ready for children before activity starts
List Materials:
Popsicle sticks, yarn, construction paper of foam, googly eyes, crayons,
markers, glitter, glue, scissors
Developmental Benefits:
Children will gain social and emotional development. Increase language
and build creativity skills, communication skills and build self-esteem
