Goal:
To teach children about their selves and enhance social develop
Objective:
Children will create mirror stick puppets that will encourage language,
creative thinking, fine motor skills, and social develop
Transition Plan
Teacher will read a book about I am special
Procedure
Teacher will explain to children to children what they will be creating.
Teacher can assist children giving their mirror on their tongue
compressor. Children will decorate their mirrors, they will be creative. A
poem will be read by teacher, while children look in the mirror.

Advanced Preparation:
Teacher will already have all materials out for children to choose from.
Teacher will have mirror glued to the compressors

List Materials:
Wood sticks, tongue compressors, small individual mirrors, yarn,
construction paper, glitter, glue, scissors, markers, pon pons, poem (I am
special)

Developmental Benefits:
Children will have an understanding that everyone is different
Children will build self-esteem, language, hand-eye coordination, and
creativity skills
