Dear Eric Cooper,

My name is Ray De Leon I am 20 years old and I am currently an ASU

student working on my art major degree in art studies. I have found interest in the
art of tattooing and the amount of work and skill that goes into making a tattoo
piece. Therefore, I would like the opportunity to become your apprentice and
learn what it takes to become a tattoo artist. I understand how much time, effort
and patience goes into being a tattoo artist, and I am willing to learn from one of
the bests. I have some of you artwork on me that is amazing to look at and I am
glad to have had you tattoo something on me. My finger tattoos, R2D2 tattoo and
rose tattoo that you created for me was better than I couldve imagined. I am able
to draw, trace and sketch out designs that I have or what someone else would like.
Having an opportunity to be a tattoo apprentice would be perfect to help me be a
tattoo artist.
Being a tattoo artist, you must have the ability to draw, sketch, show
contrast in colors, use shading, make a picture look realistic and most of all be
patience with the customer and the time it takes to tattoo. I have the ability to
draw, sketch, use shading, I have patience and can somewhat contrast colors.

Being an apprentice would help me become better with all the requirements to be
a tattoo artist and make my skills better. I am taking art classes at ASU to help me
better with art. With these art classes becoming an apprentice and learning more
would make me better and ready to be a tattoo artist.
I believe that my skills with art and my art courses will help me be an
excellent tattoo artist and bring business to Karma Tattoo. I will contact you
before October 10 to discuss my application. If you wish to contact me please call
(623)414-5054 or by emailing me at ray.deleon93@gmail.com. Thank you for
your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Raymond A De Leon
