Nationwide Rollout
- We suggest the development of clusters of cities in the US
- This should be done such that the cities that share character traits with a particular test market are grouped
together
- The observed relationship between sales and independent variables such as advertising spend and
discounts in test cities can then be applied to other cities in the cluster
- A national roll-out across the country would be difficult, it is therefore suggested to do a phase-by-phase
rollout of the product

Advantages
Ability to group entities with
similar character traits
Has a logical basis

Easy to understand and apply

Disadvantages
Wont work where similar
character traits are hard to
find
If applied incorrectly , it
could create clusters that are
not exclusive and exhaustive

A variable that
cannot be
immediately
measured is Word
of Mouth publicity
that the product
gets
