Who are the characters?

The three little pigs and the wolf.

Where is the setting?

In the forest.

Major Events
The first pig builds a house out of straw.
The second pig builds a house made out
of sticks.
The third pig builds a house out of brick.
The wolf blows the house made out of
straw and sticks down.
The wolf cant blow down the house
made of brick. The pigs stay safe.

We are going to read a text together

as a class. After we read the text, I
want you to help me answer some
questions about the text.

Who are the characters in the story?

Where is the setting?
What events happened in the story?

I am going to give you a piece of

paper, that is folded into three
sections. In the first section I want
you to draw the characters in the
story, and label each of the
characters.

In the middle section, I want you to

draw a picture of the setting. In
Three Little Pigs, the setting was a
forest. Where do you think the
setting is in the story we read?
Draw a picture of the setting.

In the third section of our paper, I

want you to write the main events of
the story. Remember to stretch your
words out. Think about what
happened in the story, and write it
down the best you can.
