Reflective Analysis of Portfolio Artifact

Rationale/Reflection
INTASC Standard:
Standard #7: Planning for Instruction
The teacher plans instruction that supports every student in meeting rigorous learning goals by
drawing upon knowledge of content areas, curriculum, cross-disciplinary skills, and pedagogy,
as well as knowledge of learners and the community context.

Brief Description of Evidence:

As part of my EDUC 230 The Exceptional Child course during the fall semester of 2014, I
worked with a partner to create a game board. I had researched the Internet to get the information
needed in order to create the game. With the information found, my partner and I created game
cards and answers for the players.

Analysis of What I Learned:

I learned how to research through quality resources to find materials needed for the game board.
I created a shared network of resources and shared with my peers.

How This Artifact Demonstrates my Competence on the INTASC Standard:

My competence in this standard is proven by my ability to research the information that I
researched and create a board game, which will get people thinking. It will provide information
that will help them better understand how to meet childrens goals.
