    Happy New Year! !
    As we enter a new semester, we are starting new conversations units
    beginning with the weather, as well as new writing unit with Chinese
    characters. The Living Mandarin textbook teaches 9 characters, 1 in
    each lesson and I added 1 character that looks similar to the one in
    the lesson, totaling 18 characters. You may find these characters
    random and dont really have connections to each other but they
    serve as building blocks for more complicated characters the students
    will learn in the years to come.
