9/8 was the Moon Festival, one of the 3 biggest holidays in Chinese culture. Today we talked about how Moon Festival is celebrated and why Chinese holidays fall on different days each year. The students also heard a story of the Moon lady named Chang-Er Please ask your child/children to share the story with you. In the Lessons section, often times you will see repeated themes and topics and that is because after the students learn the topics, we will review them, extend the topics further and go back to previously learned materials so that the students will have the chance to review the materials that they have learned. There is no writing homework this week as I would like to ease the students into learning Chinese. However, you have my promise that homework will come on full course very soon.
