What We
are Learning
This week we learned the letter Nn.
We came up with words that begin with
Nn and end with Nn. We also learned
that a verb is an action word; it is
something that you do. We used postits to come up with our own verbs we
then used our new interactive
notebooks to name more verbs, and
took time to play a game acting out
verbs!
In writing, we are still working on
our narrative stories, but we are really
starting to draw, label and now write a
full sentence to make sure that our
reader can read our story!
In math, we started counting and
writing numbers after 20. I am sending
home another hundreds chart incase
the one I sent home the other night for
homework somehow doesnt make it
back home. Please continue to practice
counting by 2s 5s and 10s as well as
recognizing numbers after 20. We will
be moving on to addition in a few short
weeks!
The orange/red reading folders for
our reading program will go back out
on Monday. There will be a new set of
questions to work on for next week! It
is fun to see them so excited about
reading!
They have grown so much! It is
exciting to see them sound out 3 letter
words and reading and writing
sentences!!
