Math We have started Topic 12.

In Topic 12 we will be
learning how to measure using both customary and metric
units of length. We will also be learning how to find the area
of polygons.
Reading Our next story is Stormi Giovanni. Stormi is miserable because she has just moved to a new city and misses
her friends back home. To protect herself from more hurt, she
decides she will not make any new friends. She creates the
Stomi Giovanni Club, which has only one member: Stormi.
GrammarWe will be studying how to use quotation correctly.
Writing Every student has a state that they selected to research. Students have also been given the guidelines for the
paper and the power point presentation. The students are required to have 10 notecard on their research by next Friday.
Spelling The spelling words this week have different suffixes. You will need to pay close attention to the endings.
Social Studies Chapter 7 is really short. We have read
about the Southern Colonies. We will be reviewing for the
test which will be coming up next week
Science We took Unit 2 test as an open book, open note
test. The scores were still quite low. With this in mind, extra
credit is going to be offered next week. I hope students take
advantage of this opportunity. Our new unit is on the environment and animal adaptations.
