Math

We have been working on Topic 19. We will finish


up Topic 19 next week and have our final test of the year!

Reading Next week, we will continue doing a novel study

of the book Wonder by RJ Palacio. The students are loving this


story. We will be doing in class activities and vocabulary, but
not test.

GrammarStudents took an Unit 6 grammar test this

week. The class as a whole did not do well. They have the opportunity to retake the test if they choose to.

Writing Students are writing letters to the new 5th grades


on How to Survive 5th Grade. Next week, students will write
to their new 6th grade teacher.

Spelling No test!
Social Studies In Chapter 11 we have learned about the
Louisiana Purchase and the War of 1812. You will be getting
information about our Mini-Economy Day soon. Students will
have to find a service or product to sell, advertise, etc. More information will be coming soon.

Science

Students are really engaged in the STEM project


we are doing. Soon we will be trying our hand at making robots!

Last chance to purchase a Camp Amigo DVD, Please send in $6 with your
child. The DVD includes over 350 pictures and is about 30 minutes long. All proceeds will help pay for our next years trip.
As the school year draws to a close, I talked to the students about getting in and
test retakes, extra credit, and late work. I will not be accepting work after next Friday.
