It is without hesitation that I write this letter of recommendation for Nathan Downey.
Nathan is in my Computer Maintenance Technology I, (CMT I) class at Grundy Area
Vocational Center, (GAVC). He is a pleasure to have in class and is genuinely interested in
learning.
Nathan is a bright student. He contributes pertinent information to class discussions. He
comes to class prepared and uses his time in class wisely. Much of this class involves
project-based and/or problem-based learning activities. Nathan always takes an active
role in these real-world assignments. He is not afraid to learn and try new things, and he
is not afraid to ask questions.
Nathan is a friendly student and relates well with his classmates. His attendance is
exceptional. He brings leadership to the classroom and is generally a positive influence on
those around him. Nathan completes his assignments and does so in a timely fashion. His
work is neat and thorough. He exhibits mature work habits, a positive attitude, and selfdiscipline.
I have no doubt that Nathan will succeed in whatever educational and career paths he
decides to pursue. I have no reservations about recommending him for any position for
