The middle is the countries of concern and the olive branches
symbolize peace.

There are 193 countries in the United Nations Today

convenes?
They talk about admission of new members, peace, security and
budgetary matter. What it convenes they just talk about it more.

Yes because its all of the members states votes.

Its in Manhattan and that land was given away.

The main goals of the U.N are to maintain international peace and security

Not all nations get along with each other, and not every nation has the

It was a worldwide organization used to solve global disputes. Eventually,
the League of Nations failed and the U.N took over.

Identify at least two. First off, its globalization because it forces other
nations to work together to settle disputes and other international
problems. Also it was a main reason why the U.N was created which
is a huge international organization today used to create solutions
to worldwide issues.

The onset of the Second World War demonstrated that the League had
failed in its primary purpose, which was to avoid any future world war.
Also, in the 1930s countries like Germany, Italy and Japan attacked weaker
countries. They were too strong for the League to stop them.

this position used to counterbalance the strength of some U.N. members?
The U.N leader is called the Secretary General. The current Secretary
General is Ban Ki-Moon.

1. What do you feel is the future of the U.N.? Does it have a place in todays
world? Why or why not? What can it do to improve its position? Write a 5-6
sentence paragraph explaining your views. I think the question can be
answered both ways (yes and no). I think yes because the U.N helps
maintain organization throughout the world. However, with more
rebellious terrorist groups (ISIS, Al-Qaida etc.) on the rise, the U.N is
failing to maintain international peace and security. To improve the
position, I think the U.N needs to start giving harsh punishments to
nations that rebel or break the rules. Honestly, I think the U.N is
eventually going to die out and go away. Why do I think this?
Because certain groups think that they dont have to follow the rules
or listen to the U.N. So personally, I think every country is going to
become like that (Rebellious) towards the U.N and the whole
purpose for it will be tarnished.
