1. Description
Bulacan is a province in Philippines located in Central Luzon Region
(Region III), 16km north of Metropolitan Manila. It has a total land area of
2,796.10 square kilometer ranking 49th out of 80 provinces in the Philippines.
At present, Bulacan is one of the most progressive provinces in the

Philippines. Its people the Bulakenyos are viewed as highly educated,


innovative and hardworking. Bulacan is well known for the following
industries: marble and marbleized limestone, jewelry, pyrotechnics, leather,
aquaculture, meat and meat products, garments, furniture, high-value crops,
sweets and native delicacies, and a wide variety of high-quality native
products.
Bulacan has quickly become an ideal tourist spot, owing to its historical
background and its rich heritage in culture and the arts. Bulacan is
particularly known for its historical sites such as its nostalgic old houses and
churches; idyllic ecological attractions; religious attractions; colorful and
enchanting festivals; swimming and various themed attractions; and a wide
selection of elegant native crafts and sumptuous delicacies. Due to fast
modernization, it also now became a home to numerous resorts, hotels,
restaurants, and other recreational facilities.
