Elements
Name: Austin Davis
Date: 2-23-2015

Line:
The headphones consist of many basic circular lines.

Shape (2D):
The shape of the headphones is very circular and simple. All shapes
are basic and regular geometric shapes such as circles and rectangles.

Space:
The design has a very open spatial feel with very few cluttered design
elements creating a simplistic feel.

Color:
The headphones are all black with white lettering of the company and
the model on the speaker housing. There is also a band of red to identify the
right side.

Texture:
The design has appears to have a smooth texture, but has many lightly
rough textures in places that emphasize the form of the headphones.

Form (3D):
The form of the headphones consists of mostly basic circular prisms
and rectangles.

Value (light to dark):

The design has a slightly dark value with almost everything being a
shallow shade of black.

Proportion:
The proportions of the different parts seems to flow relatively simply
without emphasis on any one part. The brand name lettering is much larger
than the model name, putting and emphasis on the brand.

Balance:
The headphones have a very balanced design with multiple planes of
symmetry.

Emphasis:
The red indicator band is in stark contrast to the black color of the rest
of the headphones, catching the eye, therefor allowing for easy
differentiation of the left and right side of the speakers. The large white
lettering of the brand on the speaker housing catches the eye and therefor
advertises the brand.

Rhythm:
There are very few repeated parts other than those reflected across a
plane.

Unity:
The headphones have a consistent design with very little variation
creating the feel that everything is where it should be.

Harmony:
There is different shades of black complement each other, but the red
and white stand out for emphasis.

Variety:

There is very little variation in the design, creating a simplistic feel.
