ENGLISH FOR COMMUNICATION COURSE SPEAKING TEST

INSTRUCTIONS
I. TIME
The speaking test section for each student is 5 minutes.
II. PROCEDURE
Students are asked to give a 2-3 minute talk on a topic they have learnt in the course. The
question is given on a topic card with prompts to suggest what should be talked about.
Before the talk the students are given a sheet of paper and two minutes to prepare.
Bellows is an example.
There have to be two separated classrooms next to each other. The first room is for the
teacher and the student who are doing the test. The other is for students who are waiting
to take the test.

Talk about a trip that you took recently.

You should mention:
- Where it is
- What the place is like
- Who you went with
- What you did there

III. MARKING SCALE

The score is marked out of 30.
