create.

The Additive Manufacturing Resource Centre received matching $720,000 grants from
the Canada Foundation for Innovation and the Ontario Research Fund. Funding was also

metal products.

The Centre will be used by students, leading manufacturing companies and industry
partners.

One of the Centres goals is to test the feasibility of producing existing parts through
additive manufacturing in place of conventional processes.

Working with industry partners the Centre intends on optimizing existing product
designs to improve functionality and quality while reducing costs.

The Additive Manufacturing Resource Centre is planning on designing and developing

new projects that cannot be manufactured using conventional processes.

The Centre plans on developing and testing new materials to manufacture products
using additive manufacturing.
