Objective: zip a zipper
# of required steps: 10 (not including zipping of zipper) Budget: $5 Group: of 2 ($5, 10 steps), 3 ($7.50, 15 steps), 4 ($10, 20 steps) Materials I provide: whatever you can find that I approve from my room 102, ie spaghetti and straws Materials you can use from the shop: scrap wood, metal fasteners, scrap metal, white glue, and paper. o If you find other materials youd like to use, please ask permission Materials you can provide: ANYTHING you can find, as long as the total value of those items (if purchased) is $5 or less. o Examples: toilet paper rolls, hot glue, lego, bottles, baking supplies, miscellaneous recycled objects, paper cups, etc. Materials NOT allowed: Anything that isnt school appropriate or is against school rules. i.e. knives, fireworks, etc. Assessment: your project will be out of 300 marks o 100- design, planning, drafting Ideation sketches Rough draft Final draft Materials list o 100- construction Shop safety Neatness Intricacy Originality o 100- presentation Physical presentation Call me into whatever shop this contraption is in, explain the steps, then run the machine Digital presentation Make a video, photo collage, or some type of digital presentation of your final working machine.with a URL. o DUE DATE: April 17, 2:45 o Helpful resources: The INTERNET o THINGS TO CONSIDER: levers, pulleys, rolling balls, ramps, tubes, and the domino effect to keep things moving
