Dear Houston County Board of Education:

I would like to take the opportunity to work as a First Year teacher in the Houston County School System.
I am currently completing my final courses to acquire a bachelors degree from Wesleyan College and would now
like to apply my teaching expertise in a real time environment. I have been working as a teacher while studying for
my degree, and I believe I have enough exposure to teaching norms and practices.
During my training as a teacher, I was coached in the various manners of leading group studies,
discussions, and demonstrations along with ensuring that the object of study was communicated to the students
effectively. My ability to teach basic concepts that promote physical, emotional, social, and intellectual
development are well honed. Additionally, I possess the knowhow of establishing an inviting classroom
environment in order to promote learning and assist students in reaching their maximum potential.
I am excited at the prospect of joining the Houston County School System as a First Year teacher, and I
