I am recommending Scott Austin for any social studies teaching position. I was Scotts
supervising teacher during his student teaching from January-April 2015. During that time, he taught
Global History to 158 ninth graders over the course of 5 class periods per day.
I have found Scott to be a hard working, diligent, mature, and personable teacher. Scott was
diligent in his preparation for class. He always strove to do his best for the students & to bring
enthusiasm & relevance to Global History.
Scott will be a wonderful educator! While here at CV9, he built relationships with the students
that positively impacted their studies. They worked harder for him because they didnt want to
disappoint him & they knew they could do better. This is the mark of a truly talented & caring
educator who will excel in the field. I am confident that Scotts students will benefit from having had
him as their teacher!
I believe that Scott would be a wonderful addition to any faculty. He pitched right in here at
CVHS & assisted in giving the MEAP as well as taking part in spring parent/teacher conferences. He
personifies hard work, diligence & self-discipline. In essence, he would be a true asset. I cant wait to
see what Scott accomplishes in his teaching career!
