To Whom it May Concern:

My name is Kelly Prisby and it was my fourth year serving as the Assistant Principal at
Immanuel Lutheran School in Macomb, MI when Caty served at our school. Prior to my
educational ministry and career as teacher and administrator, I served in various professional
business management roles and am a certified public accountant. I am now an accounting
professor at Macomb Community College. I have worked with many individuals over my two
careers and served in a myriad of professional environments. As you prayerfully consider
candidates, I would like to recommend Ms. Catlyn Stark (Caty) for this position.

I have known Caty for nine years as she grew up alongside my own children, Tyler and Jordan
Prisby, at Lutheran North. Caty excelled in her studies and was an established leader among her
peers. Most recently, Caty participated in the Immanuel Teaching Internship program during the
2020-2021 school year. We chose Caty to participate in this program because of her strong
passion for education and students, especially those at the middle and high school level. During
this experience, Caty demonstrated an exceptional work ethic and always gave 100% to any task
she encountered. Caty has a natural intuition of how to connect with students and what they
need to thrive which was a monumental help to our teachers and school during COVID. She
shined as an intern and became our number one building sub; she always willingly and excitedly
jumped in to help, no matter what we asked of her. Caty was a model example of being flexible
and adaptable in ever-changing circumstances.

Caty is enthusiastic and always looking for new opportunities to grow. During our Teaching
Internship, we had twelve sessions of professional development where we covered vitally
important topics such as teacher professionalism, collaborating with parents, building
relationships with students, and classroom management. Caty, along with our other interns and
seasoned teaching professionals, had real-world conversations and learning experiences that
would not be learned from a textbook or college class.

Caty’s drive to complete her Master’s degree and earn her teaching credentials at Oakland
University, coupled with strong organizational skills and overall commitment to excellence
would be a strong addition to your teaching team. To top all that off, she is strong and has a
great heart that would benefit your school community.

In closing, I believe Caty to be an exemplary candidate and hope she receives strong
consideration for this role. If I can be of further assistance, please contact me anytime.
