Professional Documents
Culture Documents
Compare: Both of these documents contain a Bill of Rights for the people of a
specific country. Each of these BoRs set somewhat similar rules (ex. freedom of
speech, freedom of religion, etc.). The US BoR eventually had 13, the same amount
that the European one had.
Contrast: One of the bills was for the United States (written in 1789) and the other
was for Europe (written in 1689). The US BoR had 10 rights, and the European one
had 13. The US BoR speaks of the Quartering Act
Conclude: Although both groups had a Bill of Rights, they were very different. What
was proclaimed in these varied slightly. However, both of these bills was
foundational to each groups history.
