    Appendix A

    Volunteer Experience

    Along with my work experience, I do have extensive volunteer experience including:

    Pineview Playground Coordinator:


    This was a $65,000 project and involved fundraising, supervision of volunteers (62 volunteers),
    purchasing of equipment and co-ordination of installation including: ground preparation, installation
    supervisor, safety inspection, delivery of equipment and materials comprising of lumber, pea gravel and
    cement. When I pitched this project to the members of the PAC, I had a projected timeline of 5 years,
    we fundraised, planned and installed within 2 years. In this project I was in contact with many people
    including the Regional District, School District, Prince George Rotary Club, Business Community, Parent
    Advisory Council, Teachers, Parents, and Students.

    Hot Lunch Coordinator:


    Devised and implemented a new structured ordering and delivery system; scheduled and organized
    volunteers, scheduled and ordered lunches by fax each week, researched and secured new vendors,
    responsible for all monies collected.

    Decorating Coordinator:
    PGSS Dry Grad 2012
    Researched and secured a venue for the event; the Prince George Roll-A-Dome. The theme picked by
    the students was Cruising into the Future. I resourced scene setters online from a company in the U.S.
    and a Mechanical Bull from the lower mainland among other entertainment for the night. There were
    several main areas set up including a check in, casino, Tikki Bar and L.A. Promotions area. I also made,
    borrowed and rented several elements for the event which allowed us to come in under budget.

    Fundraising Coordinator:
    PGSS Dry Grad 2013
    The main fundraising events of the year included a pub night and silent auction also a fashion show and
    silent auction. For the pub night I researched and booked the venue, supervised the event, printed and
    sold tickets. For both nights I secured donations and picked up auction items, formatted and printed
    auction sheets for each item and collected the money generated by the fundraiser.
    With all of these positions I reported monthly to various committees and PACs including budgets and
    timelines.
